Learn about Composition and Exposure.  Understand f-stops, ISO and speed. Learn some basic camera functions. 

This adventure is outdoors and for those that would like to experience or are already familiar with a bit of 4-wheeling as you will be riding in a Jeep with a driver-guide.

Meet by 8am at the location shown on your map, which is approx. 15 miles west of Buena Vista and along a dirt road.

The morning session (8:00am-11:00am) will be learning about composition, exposure and becoming familiar with your camera settings.  The afternoon (11:30am-4:00pm) will be spent traveling along the road stopping for landscape views and visiting the old mining areas and practice your photography skills.

We will have lunch between the morning class session and the afternoon field session. (Staff will need to know of any dietary limitations, please ensure that you communicate that before the day of class-see workshop packet)

We will be utilizing vehicles with 4x4 and the drive could be bumpy in places as well as a little more effort in getting in or out of the vehicles than you would normally experience if this is a concern.

This trip can be discounted if you plan to drive your own 4x4 vehicle and are familiar with rough rocky trails, please contact Images by Nature tor pricing and registration.

There will be some walking and light hiking, with the possibility of some rocky areas and/or tripping hazards, the activity level is easy to moderate.  Bring good walking or hiking shoes.  Bring the appropriate clothing for being outdoors during the day, cotton is not your best choice as it does not have moisture wicking properties and will not retain your warmth once damp or wet.  You may be sitting or kneeling on the ground to get that unique shot.

 Please read through all the documents that will be sent to you as part of the Workshop information.  You will be required to sign a waiver to attend the class.  This business carries auto and liability insurance.

As this is Colorado...please bring plenty of water to stay hydrated and feel free to bring snacks if you want.

This workshop will be rescheduled if there is more than moderately inclement weather

Registration will close 7 days before Workshop date and it will be critical that you have communicated back to the staff with your questionnaire
