Learn about Composition and Exposure.  Understand f-stops, ISO and shutter speed. Learn some basic camera functions. 

This photography workshop has a classroom session from 8am - 11am in Monument, 1 hour break for lunch and then a field session from 12pm-4pm in Black Forest.  (registration will close 7 days before each scheduled class date)

Required: DSLR camera, camera manual, tripod.  If you have a lens that has Macro that is best although you can still learn the proper techniques and still take some great photos with a zoom lens or regular lens if that is what you have available.

This will be in a greenhouse which can get very hot.  I would suggest shorts, t-shirt and water shoes or sandals.  Bring a towel and dry shoes so that you clean up your feet after class in case you decide to get up close and personal with the plants. (which is recommended as this is all about getting close to get those fabulous details)

Class will NOT be cancelled for inclement weather as you can stay inside the greenhouses most of the time.

A signed waiver will be required for all students.  This will need to be signed to attend class.
